With emphasis on the substructure, Daniel Walia works on the design, construction and the overall-system simulation of floating wind turbines.
Herein his focus lies in the design and design optimisation by use of coupled aero-hydro-servo-elastic simulations. Another activity area is the verification of computational models by use of physical model tests as well as their conception, implementation and evaluation.
