Paul Schünemann specialises in the field of wind turbine load simulations, whereby he is investigating the influence of floating foundation structures on wind turbine loads. Furthermore he is contributing towards the development of extensions for state-of-the-art software tools.
In addition, Paul Schünemann is active in teaching where he is responsible for the exercises of the “Modern Wind Turbines” and “Simulating Wind Turbines - Introduction and Practical Application” modules.

Award: Theodor-Mackling Prise from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Marine Technology in 2015 for outstanding efforts in the Master’s Engineering course at the University of Rostock’s Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Marine Technology
10/2009 - 11/2012 Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Rostock

Award: Student of the Year at the University of Rostock in the Mechanical Engineering course, awarded by the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Chamber of Engineers
