Pedram Azizi studies aerodynamics of wind turbines using CFD simulations. His research activities mainly focus on improving aerodynamic performance of both horizontal and vertical axis wind turbines. Moreover, he is also studying the dynamic behavior of spar-buoy platforms of floating offshore wind turbines to develop an active control system for the platform which will improve the turbine performance.

Furthermore, Pedram Azizi is very active in teaching tasks, including supervising exercise classes of “Modern Wind Turbines”, student projects in “Software Lab Projects” course and master theses on topics related to CFD and aerodynamics of wind turbines.
